This week has a distinct before and after quality to it. The first half of the week is a gentle wrap-up, a closing of tabs, a final check-in. And then Saturday arrives and something shifts at a level that isn’t just personal. We are collectively walking through a door this week. More on that in a minute.
Venus conjunct Uranus — Thursday
There's not much happening in the sky for the first couple days of the week, giving us a little time to adjust to last Friday's monster New Moon in Aries. Thank the heavens. But on Thursday we start getting some action. Venus meets up with Uranus for one last moment before she changes signs. Now, Uranus is the planet of surprises, disruption, the unexpected. But this isn’t a dramatic collision. Think of it more like a quick check-in at the door on the way out.
Venus rules love, money, and values. And for the last few weeks she’s been moving through Taurus, which is her home sign by the way, asking you to look honestly at how you’re actually honoring your values. In your relationships. In your finances. In what you’re choosing to prioritize.
So Thursday is like her final notes before she moves on. Expect the unexpected in small ways. A surprise, a realization, maybe an uncomfortable but useful little nudge. Welcome the good surprises. Take the annoying ones in stride. That’s just Uranus doing what Uranus does.
Venus into Gemini — Friday
Friday, Venus moves into Gemini where she’ll stay until June 13th, and the energy shifts noticeably. We’re moving from Taurus, which is slow, sensual, and grounded, into Gemini, which is curious, quick, and wants to talk about everything.
In your love life this means you’re going to want connection that stimulates your mind, not just your comfort. Conversations matter more. Variety feels good. You might find yourself attracted to people who make you think, or wanting more playfulness and less heaviness in your existing relationships.
For money and values, Gemini brings curiosity. Good time to explore, research, look at things from multiple angles before committing. Not the best time to make final decisions, but a great time to gather information.
The sparkle is moving into how you communicate. Lean into that.
A moment for Sun square Pluto — Saturday
Before we get to the big news, I want to give a quick moment to the Sun squaring Pluto on Saturday, because it deserves one.
Squares create friction. And Pluto is about power, transformation, what’s hidden, what needs to be confronted. When the Sun, which is your identity, your sense of self, your visibility, squares off with Pluto, it can bring up some tension around personal power and authenticity. Who’s in charge here. Are you living in alignment with who you’re actually becoming, or are you still performing a version of yourself that doesn’t quite fit anymore.
This is especially pointed if you were paying attention during the Aries new moon last Friday. That moon was a lot. It may have brought up some realizations, some restlessness, some this isn’t working energy that made you want to move differently. The Sun Pluto square on Saturday is going to poke at exactly that. Don’t run from it. That friction is information.
Uranus into Gemini — Saturday, the main event
Okay. Here we go.
On Saturday, Uranus moves into Gemini, and this is not a regular weekly transit. Uranus spends about seven years in each sign. It was last in Gemini from 1941 to 1949. It won’t be back after this until 2109. So whatever happens over the next seven years, we are the generation that lives it.
Let me tell you what happened last time.
The 1940s were not subtle. Under Uranus in Gemini, the entire information infrastructure of the modern world got built. Radio became the dominant mass communication force, the way entire nations received news and heard from their leaders, mass communication at a scale that had never existed before. The first programmable computers were developed, originally to break enemy codes. The first general purpose digital computer followed shortly after. The United Nations was founded. India gained independence. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted.
And the shadow side, because Gemini always has two faces, that same period gave us propaganda as a military weapon. The same technology that connected people was being used to control them. Same energy, two very different applications.
Now look at where we are.
AI is not coming. It’s here, and it is only going to accelerate under Uranus in Gemini. Social media, which has already fractured how we relate to information and each other, is going to keep evolving in ways we can’t fully predict yet. Legacy media is in freefall. The questions of who controls the signal, who decides what’s true, what information gets amplified and what gets buried, those questions are not new. They are the same questions from the 1940s, just wearing different clothes.
Uranus in Gemini is going to push all of it into overdrive. And here’s what I find genuinely hopeful about that: Uranus doesn’t just disrupt, it liberates. The last time this energy moved through, it also gave us the frameworks for human rights, for collective governance, for information becoming more accessible to more people. The technology can serve liberation or control. That has always been the choice, and it’s the choice again now.
For you personally, Gemini rules how you think, how you communicate, how you process and share information. Over the next seven years, expect your relationship to all of those things to evolve in ways you’re not expecting. How you learn. How you talk. How you consume information and what you do with it. This is a seven year invitation to get more intentional about your relationship with information, with technology, and with your own mind.
We are at the beginning of something. Saturday is just the door opening.
